Tuesday proved interesting and diverting - we took time off to help out at Slate Run Winery, about 46 miles South of us.
Keith Pritchard (owner) was happy to include us in his morning's work of bottling and cork/capping. He was very hospitable and answered all questions and showed us around.
Rather bravely Michael brought two splits of the wine we broke last weekend. At this point I decided to leave and look at the vines. Anyway, Keith and his helpers liked it. He said it had a taste people would go for. I'm sure that as professional to professional, and since he was very open with advice all day, that if he didn't find it satisfactory he would have suggested some way to improve it.
It was a very encouraging visit and we hope we have gained a friend and a resource.
