Michael is contacting label printers. Again this aspect of the wine industry is best served by Californian or, if not, Western Companies. In short he found a company that specialises in serving small wineries - apparently our Year 1 production is not the smallest they've dealt with!
This company will work with us on the design and do mock-ups. They suggest we send them some material and our thoughts/requirements and they'll send something relevant for us to look at. They know about the office and mandatory info that needs to be on the labels. $0.40 - $0.60/lable. As long as we don't come up with something that makes them construct a new die this should be relatively affordable.
Anton has been looking into sales exhibitions - venues for us to market our wine. He's focused on one event coming up in January. $1,100 entry fee plus a requirement to take out an Ad in a certain magazine. However the potential for sales is significant and this represents a very efficient route to market. Needless to say we need to build a booth, brochure and our "script". If the venue allows wine tasting, there's the tasting license to get too.
