But all four of us met up tonight at Hooters. The order of events were;
1. summary of blog hits 2. bank account run through 3. distribution of various FAQs on Wine Bonds & Bureau Information 4. Wine Bonds 5. Quantity of Wine to make and how much 6. Michael arrives 7. Which Varietals to crush 8. Trading Up.
Quantity of Wine - seems like we're on for 4,000 bottles
Which Varietals - Usual suspects - Signature blend, Bordeaux, etc, a white or two. The Barbera got voted out, and I think the Ohio grape too.
Marty to seek out white wine equipment costs
All to seek out insurance / surety for the two wine bonds
The Books remain with Anton.
Michael introduced us to "Trading Up" , a fine book on marketing New Luxury goods. He will finish the book and re-present his thoughts on teasing the market about our wine. We experienced a bit of a disconnect tonight with selling - we're all switched on to wine at weddings and events, but he views the wine at the dinner as diluting the brand image and sees it being reserved as a guest gift.
He presented some great marketing ideas that go to the core of peoples' emotions and how to play to the "me time" so that when people make space for their special moments which could involve wine, ours will be on their minds. It's interesting stuff.
Word Cup - How can you not get the better of Trinidad & Tobago? I mean, who are they and yet again tonight they held their own with England only scoring in the 83rd and final moments of the game. T&T still have a chance though in going through to the next round.
Yes, we were at Hooters. No photo this time, just another autograph. Samantha had alot to say and was distracting at times and wants wine (who doesn't?). We always had a fantasy about doing a crush with such resources, maybe at Hooters we've found them? Do you think it would be diluting the brand if Hooters did a marketing thing with their girls stomping grape?
